^That was brutal. The kick didn't look sportsmanlike, but the whole sport seems insane to me so.

And that's why kicking someone when they are down is not allowed in ufc fights. The potential for a devastating blow is too great. From the looks of it, the kick was kinda towards the back of the head too... Ouch

Me. I am heading off for a few days drive to the hinterland of the Gold Coast. Staying at a luxury retreat :) I might even drop in to the 'Coast' proper. There are some new trams there I have never ridden (and on my bucket list).

Two months ago we ordered a piece of drift wood as a new handrail for our stairs, which was about goddamn time really (already fell down the fucker twice when drunk). Some obscure beach-dude spent a lot of time finding a piece of wood and yesterday he finally messaged us with pictures of a fine looking piece of birch, half bleached by the sea. It's very hipster.

He's now making it more pretty, soon our stairs will finally be safe!

Maynard as in wine-farming, A Perfect Circle singing, Tool jamming, Puscifer dangling Maynard James Keenan?
If so, in what context are you seeing him?

Lad should get back to recording Tool albums by the way.

Cool. Enjoy.
Maybe not mention the Tool thing. I'm sure he's sick and tired of the feelings of entitlement of their "fans".

Back from three days at an anime convention. Tons of nerds, great food, and the late night parties were excellent.
Scored some figures and doujins from the swap meet on Friday and picked up some shit I really don't need at the dealer's hall.
I'm in talks with the people I went with this year to do a group cosplay for the next convention.

I just installed an amplified Bluetooth speaker system on my motorcycle. A bit of a pain in the ass getting all of the wire and amplifier hidden on a bike with no fairing or bags. But it sound pretty good for a two speaker set-up.

We're back :)
Lovely time in 5 star luxury tree house accommodation. Some overcast wet weather in the areas so the' Coast' wasn't going to be that good so we gave it a wide berth.

Catching up here and see I missed a couple of birthdays so Happy Birthday to those I missed :p

We are off for another country drive tomorrow. Up in the hills and far from the coast but further west than our recent trip to the Gold Coast hinterland. First stay is a cottage on a lake and the next a guesthouse. We might even do a zoo in the area. Pics on return :D
