Re: What is new in your little world?
Been consumed by Pokemon: Go. I've been coming up with excuses to walk to places rather than just driving so I can get the credit on my egg incubators to hatch them.
Currently level 10. Unfortunately, both my house and my office are dead zones with zero nearby pokestops and no pokemon in range (all are always 3 footprints away).
Have met a ton of new people just walking about playing this game and seeing people with their phones out meandering around a common stop with a lure active. Everybody has been super helpful to each other despite some people being team mystic...
Word is that there are a ton of electric-type pokemon down at the wharf so I'm heading their with my friends this coming weekend when I'm not stuck working. I also plan on checking out the harbor when I have some time.
Once one of my friends is back from Georgia, I'm going to head up to San Francisco and have a day trip hunting some pokemon with her; I imagine SF is completely infested with pokemon and just one giant swarm of stops...

Re: What is new in your little world?
To be honest, I was turned off by my first cruise too. So turned off that it took me 8 years to go on another (this one). The first thing wrong was the cruise was too long (5 nights). Secondly, we brought our son who was 7 at the time and there just wasn't enough entertainment for children his age. That made for almost no alone time. This combination lead to exhausting disagreements in a confined space. No fun at all... The wife really wanted to try another cruise. I agreed because this one was only 3 days and our son is now 15. I think those are the reasons I enjoyed this cruise. It was short enough to not feel confined and our son was old enough to socialize with other teens, giving us more alone time to enjoy.scared? wrote:No...I never liked it... You're not the only one apparently. They had to remove folks from the railway track here, a major hospital had to send out a message asking if people would please not enter the restricted areas to catch pokemon, some people have been doing this while driving on the highway, heard a story from a collegue that suddenly there were teenagers climbing her fence & jumping in her garden staring at their mobiles, etc. It's amazing it hasn't severly injured or killed anyone yet, really.Silicone_Milk wrote:Been consumed by Pokemon: Go.
And the game isn't officially out yet here... madness.

Can't understand the appeal of this Pokemon fad. You can collect them, but to what end?
