Of course, to keep the option open to contest the thing legally, the extent of the victory wasn't clear at the time.

How you can have a system where most people vote for person A and the win goes to person B and call it democracy is fucking beyond me.

One reason has to do with Gerrymandering (sp?) I think a lot of locations in the US, gerrymandering is legal. If you've never looked it up, I suggest you do, you'll get a better explanation of what it is but the TL DR is that it's basically cheating and is illegal in most countries.

Man, I thought America was fucking batshit when you guys voted Dubya Bush in for a second term. BUSH AGAIN! Surely that's as fucked up as you guys can possibly be without the whole nation flipping into chaos, right? Seriously didn't think Trump was possible. Fuck you guys.

So, what's happening with the Senate and Congress? Our only hope is that at least one is controlled by the Democrats.

Yeah it is fuct. But what's crazier is how divided the country is. It's damn near straight down the middle. What are the odds? 120 million people vote, and what was it, around 100,000 difference? Insane...

Like in the UK, which I also complained about, you can't play the game then blame the rules. It is what it is
