someone is going to find another pic of a controller or something else and then that one will be retarded as well. The system doesn't come out until 2006 so prototype photos of it are nothing to get pissy about+JuggerNaut+ wrote:wutandyman wrote:Earlier you were all saying how the first pics looked so gay then they were proven fake, then these new pics came out with a controller and the controller looks gay, feel free to finish the sentence.
(not you in particular, just the general theme)

very nice.Sony also unveiled the PS3's graphics chip, the RSX "Reality Synthesizer," which is based on Nvidia technology. The GPU will be capable of 128bit pixel precision, 1080p resolution, some of the highest HD resolution around. The RSX also has 512MB of graphics render memory and is capable of 100 billion shader operations and 51 billion dot products per second. It also has more than 300 million transistors, larger than any processor commercially available today. It will be manufactured using the 90nm process, with eight layers of metal. The RSX is more powerful than two GeForce 6800 Ultra video cards, which would cost roughly $1,000 total if purchased today

having skimmed through the thread, i didnt see the actual specs released by sony in here? (first post is off, you see).
so for those who didnt read them yet:
1 CELL processor at 3.2Ghz with a perfomance of 2.18 TFlops, twice that of the Xbox360 proc.
512MB memory like the 360. 256 is GDDR VRam clocked at 700Mhz and 256MB XDR Ram clocked at 3.2Ghz
6 USB ports (4 on the front, 2 on the back)
up to 7 wireless controllers
PS3 supports BluRay and every other disctype (cept for UMD)
Memcard slot, memstick slot, room for 2.5" HDD
Backwardscompatible with PS1 and 2 - Microsoft has yet to announce their backwards compatibility, although they did say due to the way the xbox360 renders, this may be a problem.
Custom Nvidia chip running more powerful than 2 6800Ultra's, supporting 1080p.
Out of the box support for online multiplay, webbrowsing, chat, digital photography and music.
network port (Gigabit Ethernet), AV multi-out port , SP/DIF optical audio out port, 2 high res HDMI video ports.

[size=75][i]I once had a glass of milk.
It curdled, and then I couldn't drink it. So I mixed it with some water, and it was alright again.
I am now sick.
