Quake 3 Marks 15th Anniversary

Post by obsidian »

Happy 15th birthday, Quake 3!

The MapCore contest draws to a close (Dec 3).

There will probably be some promos from id Software on Steam. Stay tuned for further updates.

Quake 3 forever!

I remember buying extra RAM for my computer so Q3test wouldn't run out of memory.

I could probably get a better Q3 frame-rate on my phone than I did on that old gaming machine from 1999. Looking forward to playing Champions. LOTS.

I first played Q3A on Pentium 4 and AMD Graphics with Windows XP Home Edition Service Pack 3 installed, 32bit. We already had an LCD monitor, 4:3 ratio and resolution 1280x1024 :D This screen is still used in my home yet :D But graphics is nVidia GeForce 9800 GT and CPU is Core 2 Duo, Windows 7 Home Premium Service Pack 1 32bit installed.
