It was pretty solid. They really nailed the retro feel. Would watch again.

Mazda:
I'm kinda surprised CGI Cushing hasn't got more popular hate, i thought he looked a bit Polar Express - in 5 years it'll look really dated. If it'd only been a couple of scenes it would have been fine but they waaaay overdid his screen time. They went too clever bollocks with the skin pores, liver spots and imperfections on both CGI characters... where on film the makeup dept would never let that shit pass it looks subconsciously odd when you see Cushing across from Ben Mendohlson who's caked in foundation and it edits back and you can see all Cushing's blackheads and nose capillaries.
That first reflection shot is fucking awesome and they should have stuck with that and then done the rest with classic cinema tricks .. over the shoulder shots and partially obscured frontals etc. Same with Leia, it was too much LOOK WHAT WE CAN DO and it'll really suffer the test of time.
I thought the Cushing scene at the end of Ep III was very tastefully done:
In Rogue One it was mostly uncanny valley.
