Roadhog is getting nerfed on the PTR soon, when they implement Hook 2.0 to fix the bullshit round-the-corner hooking nonsense.

Now if only they'd do something about Symmetra's beam reaching 7m instead of the old 5m. IMO a compromise of 6m would be enough to balance her out. Or maybe just reduce the damage ramp-up as she continues to fire. If nothing else, the Shield Generator range needs to be cut back considerably...

it's interesting how shield generators stack, but mercy dmg beams don't.

At the moment she is WAY OP. I like the fact she has been changed up, but a fully charged Symmetra can deal 125hp a second. She should not be able to destroy a Reinhardt that quickly. The weapon range is now great, but the DPS is too high. I think she will be nerfed quite quickly from a DPS point of view. The rest of her updates have been great.

Yeah that is interesting....though I guess if you had a Reinhardt, a Widow and 4 Mercy's then you basically have instagib if you have a semi competent sniper.

Or swap out Widow for Soldier, Mcree, Junkrat, Zenyatta, Anna, Phara, Hanzo or Bastion. All of those with 4x damage would be pretty much impossible to close to with a good shield in front of them. So I can kind of see why that doesn't stack.

I think that the shield generators stacking will actually be nerfed - they didn't really have to think about how it stacked given quick play and comp mode are their main focus areas and you can't have more than 1 type of hero.

Sounds more like a bug fix than a nerf to me

It's hard to see it as a bug when it's been in the game like this for so long.

Well, it's unwanted behavior anyway. It doesn't really make the character weaker as it's not something that's easy to intentionally abuse is it?

Rumour mill is working again. Next playable character is probably "Doomfist", which is already part of OW lore (the Doomfist er... fist is on the payload in Numbani). Turns out Terry Crews visited the Blizzard offices and now people are speculating he's doing voice work for Doomfist. He hasn't confirmed or denied but has asked who would like him to do it. Apparently a petition is doing the rounds now and even Dwayne " The Rock" Johnson has signed it :)

Most people who I see play roadhog and get a buggy hook think it's just as bullshit as their target does. But I have seen comments about pro players who can exploit the mechanic semi-regularly.

Made it to silver in ranked today. Yay!
Got in a game where the whole enemy team left after round 1 of Oasis, except for one guy who we all just ended up chatting with. 3 on my team then stayed as a group and after each game we picked up another player througj the "stay in group" feature. Eventually, we ran into the guy that was abandoned by his team earlier and he completed our 6-man team. I thing we played 7 or 8 competitive games, winning every single one of 'em, while being very chatty amongst ourselves.

Rarely have I had this much fun in Overwatch. There was just such a positive vibe going on.

I got to Platinum and then stopped playing competitive. I rightfully belong in Gold, so I got my 800 points and then I GTFO.

It's just enough to give me 3000 points at the end of the season, so I can get 1 golden weapon. :paranoid:

:D

I had terrible qualifying with someone who just seemed to want to get an achievement, so I ranked low bronze....though to be fair I have gained a few 100 now and I am up to Silver.

Season 3 seems a lot better than Season 1&2
