Yeah, the annual is worth it when you do a big trip like you and you're hitting 5+ parks. But most of the time the only people that can do that are the retirees.
I think the 100 year anniversary for the U.S. parks was last year. They had some good deals, but I don't remember it being free all year. That's cool of Canada...

Shaft has gone full retard... Imagining things to suppress the intense envy he has for the more fortunate ones like plained and me... Understandable, but pathetic... Grow up coupon boy...

Going with Lady Carlos to stay with my Mum for a week. She has a villa there for 3 weeks while she does some travelling about the quays etc. Thought I'd make use of it

You will be fine. It's probably your house that will burn down while you're away. Have fun!

Spent my Canada Day long weekend with a 4 day trip to the Bruce Peninsula, camping, canoeing and climbing. (More photos to come)
This was taken from the top of a route at Cape Croker which opens up into Georgian Bay, on a Chippewas First Nation reserve.
Starry night under the canopy of trees. It's a cropped image and was taken next to the camp fire, so not the best photo I could have taken.

Where the pictures taken with an SLR, surely not a smart phone (but I could be surprised) and if an SLR, what was the F stop and shutter speed?

We found a street astronomer by the waterfront in Toronto during Canada Day who was holding a viewing party free to the public. Saw Saturn, Jupiter and 4 of its moons, and our Moon.
Snapped a pic through his telescope
