Back in Windows land

Post by Doombrain »

I've got Windows 10 coming in, it's been many years I've had a PC (laptop) for personal dicking about.

What software should i be getting? i'm going with windows defender for now and steam, that's all i can think of...
For something with a SDD and HDD setup i guess i need to be selective of what's loaded on the SSD, any rules of thumb i need to follow?
What essential tools should i be looking at without bloating it?

Nothing really, the windows anti-virus is good enough. Maybe chrome or firefox and 7zip.

Have a look through http://www.ninite.com to be able to get almost every program you might need in one go.

O&O Shutup. I wouldn't use windows 10 without it.
and
classic shell: windows 10 menu replacement.

Here are some windows 10 tweaks to keep you busy.
