I went for a consult last year, thinking at 47 there has to be some improvement available. They told me my vision was still too good to justify any type of surgery. 20/30 and can still read small text. But then again I've never had a broken bone or a cavity.

More like superior genetics. Something you inbred island dwellers don't know much about.

The hot water system was changed over this morning and all went well thankfully. My concern was that they may have needed to disconnect the air-conditioning unit and that would have been expensive. Another Owner in the apartment complex had there AC unit reconditioned recently and at a cost of $4.5KWhiskey 7 wrote:.............. our hot water system housed in the same cupboard. Seems I am up for a replacement and soon

The HWS cost me $2K today. Plumbers and electricians are expensive (the hot water system was about $1K). Oh well, it won't have to be done again for years (hot water system capacity 315 litre )and having a 13 year lifespan doesn't see too bad I suppose.

Re: What is new in your little world?
$2K seems a bit steep? When you say hot water "system" is that something more than a water heater? Do you have a gas or an electric water heater?
Here, an electric water heater is around $400 and a gas is around $500 (of course you could pay more). With the advent of Sharkbite fittings and flexible hose, the average person can pretty easily change out a water heater. All you need is a few basic tools and a couple of YouTube videos.

Typical Trump supporter mentality of someone that wants to live behind a wall.
