OTOH I read an article saying he thought the noise was firecrackers, then he thought it was gunshots from outside the school. And the first 3 cops to arrive at the school didn't go in, either.

As for the teachers and students who were in the school and put themselves in the line of fire to help others, that's definitely classy.

That wouldn't surprise me at all given the population there. The mindset of some drivers and yes, I'll throw in that the younger ones who think they are bullet proof and better drivers anyway and use mobiles a lot more than say 30 or 40 year olds, rate so highly in statistics.

In 2008(?) or 2009(?) cell phone providers and schools pushed the dont text and drive thing really hard.
Telecoms still push this today and its on every phone you open for the most part. States also put out specific laws depending on the states.
