Yet another school shooting in America
Re: Yet another school shooting in America
Why no immediate cry for stricter cancer control laws or organized marches on Washington? Why aren't the number of DAILY cancer deaths flashing on every news screen and pouring out of the mouths of our politicians? Why aren't there endless public and private discussion on how to prevent our precious children (from) dying to the misuse of cancer?

Somehow Dumbrain doesn't think its stupid to compare a disease to the inappropriate use of an inanimate object.
Put down that cancer you might hurt someone or yourself.

There was an organised march on Washington? When?SOAPboy wrote:Actually there was.
Durrr, durr, durr...
Or maybe you should go marry your gun.
The point is, there is nowhere near the focus/outrage/push for legislation on the misuse of cell phones as there is for the AR-15. When cellphones are responsible for more than 3000 deaths a year and Rifles (not all were AR-15s) are responsible for 250, you have to know the primary concern isn't about preserving life.

How many innocent bystanders lost their lives when some deranged person goes on a cellphone rampage? You're comparing an organic event to a completely avoidable event. That said it could be 2A and guns is so deeply imbedded in your daily lives you just can't see past your rights to guns.... it might not be your fault which is really sad.

The point is, AGAIN, cell phones kill 10x the amount of people (all completely avoidable deaths) and there isn't same/more outrage.Doombrain wrote: Gramps, you can't believe this right, you're trolling?

Why is the loss of life to firearms more worrisome than cell phones? And how is someone dying while texting organic?
Why is there such a push to ban AR-15s when they are only responsible for 1 to 2% of the gun deaths? Why not go after pistols that are responsible for 80% of gun deaths?
There's no logical answer to any of those questions other than agenda driven nonsense.

Re: Yet another school shooting in America
1. Cancer kills more people. If you can't draw the parallel in those two reasons why someone could die and still think guns kill by chance you have real brainwash issues. An organic death is the result of chance and you need to understand the term, these just happen to be because someone wasn't paying attention.YourGrandpa wrote:The point is, AGAIN, cell phones kill 10x the amount of people (all completely avoidable deaths) and there isn't same/more outrage.Doombrain wrote: Gramps, you can't believe this right, you're trolling?

2. I can't believe you have to be told this, therefore, you have to be trolling. Let's just start with volumes of mobiles to guns, see if that sinks in.
3. Fair point, all guns should be banned.

Okay Gramps, breaking it down to the simplest components so that the trianglular brick fits in the triangular hole in your block of wood called a head:
People who die when texting whilst driving die accidentally.
People who die in school shootings have been murdered.
Please, try and murder someone with a cellphone. And put the results up on Youtube so we can all point and laugh.

Re: Yet another school shooting in America
a bigger question is: why do so many Americans feel compelled to murder other people?
the 'guns dont kill, people kill' crowd actually have a point. it's just that they don't have a solution

Texting while driving exponentially increases your chance of death, even greater than fire arms. Deaths from both could be prevented by the elimination of their existence.Mat Linnett wrote:Okay Gramps, breaking it down to the simplest components so that the trianglular brick fits in the triangular hole in your block of wood called a head:

Dying from texting is like dying from skydiving. Neither are what most would consider organic/natural.
People kill people all of the time while misusing cell phone but there is still no march on Washington.

That is a path no one seems to want to explore.seremtan wrote:a bigger question is: why do so many Americans feel compelled to murder other people?
The same could be said about the extremists on the other side.seremtan wrote:the 'guns dont kill, people kill' crowd actually have a point. it's just that they don't have a solution
I truly believe we should more strictly regulate the distribution of fire arms. We need a national background checking system that requires doctors/medical institutions to report the use of psychotropic drugs or mental heath issues. We need to impose a state licensing program that requires people to show they can pass a mental evaluation, safely use/store their fire arms and are aware of their state gun laws. Only after they get their license would they be able to posses a mag fed pistol, rifle or shotgun with a capacity of greater than 10 rounds.

This is my idea from 2013.

It would work 100 times better than any AR-15 ban. But better regulating guns or saving lives isn't part of the agenda.

No, It really wouldnt. You think it would because you're one of those inbred hillbilly fucks who love guns more than others lives.
I was going to type up a big thing with stats, and graphs, and numbers to prove you're wrong but you cant google gun control without something falling out saying america is retarded and gun bans work.
Keep on trolling gramps. Its clear you're either trolling, or a die hard republican trump supporter. Either way, you're dumb as shit.

Oh no, They definitely are NOT trumps fault. Its everyone who let it get this out of hands fault. Its the lack of gun laws for years. This is not trump specific.

Here, try this article out. It may help you dopey bastards who keep saying banning guns works in other countries understand why your logic is flawed.

It's from the NY Times, you should love it.
