SNK will release two versions, Neo Geo Mini "International" and a (Japanese) version of Neo Geo Mini visually based on 1990 Japan Neo Geo arcade cabinets. Additional information on price and release date announced by SNK at a later date.

I completely agree. NEOGEO was a ridiculously over priced console and one of the only consoles I didn't own due to the cost. I just can't fathom that there were that many people playing it that they'd want to buy a mini version of it now for nostalgia. I mean, I'm sure they're out there but how many could there possibly be?
