What's new in your little world Geoff? Are you still in school? Did you get a job? Did the wife let you buy/do anything cool lately? You use to share a lot more. What happened, scared?scared? wrote:Go away gay...

Re: What is new in your little world?
I deleted facebook.
Didn't post on it much but I checked it periodically during the day more than I realised, it's kinda weird breaking a habit that's been cultivated over the last 11/12 years.
I recommend it.

I deactivated Facebook nearly a decade ago. It’s glorious...Don Carlos wrote:Ive been toying with this idea myself...phantasmagoria wrote:I deleted facebook.

Been considering it for ages. I full on deleted it rather than deactivation, though I imagine they'll still keep the data.Don Carlos wrote:Ive been toying with this idea myself...
There's groups and model kit marketplaces that I'll miss, but the final nail in the coffin was Adam Buxton's most recent podcast with Shoshana Zuboff. I enjoyed it as a platform when it started, but it's evolved way beyond what I signed up for.

Re: What is new in your little world?
It’s total garbage but there are still a few things keeping me on it. I find the groups and events very useful.
Re: What is new in your little world?
you mean you made it inaccessible to yourself. it's still there and it all belongs to Zuckphantasmagoria wrote:I deleted facebook.

He made his future self inaccessible to them. Kind of.
Re: What is new in your little world?
Just sold some RAM I had laying around, DDR2 PC 6400 2GB Geil 800MHz x 4 sticks, nearly collector stuff I thought. Young fellow doing up a PC for his Dad
How thoughtful...

Re: What is new in your little world?
I have boxes of ram at my house... Like literally hundreds of sticks of various types and sizes..
Re: What is new in your little world?
They were around a while, maybe years. I had a 'spring clean' and discovered them, thinking they'd be a collector item, grabbed a pic and put them up online. They have been there since wait... wait.. Yes, found the advertisement receipt. Since Sat 6 April 2019Κracus wrote:I have boxes of ram at my house... Like literally hundreds of sticks of various types and sizes..

Could be small boxes. :paranoid:Doombrain wrote:Boxes?
Re: What is new in your little world?
Everything is a small box next to your head
Re: What is new in your little world?
Yeah, not huge boxes... But I do have hundreds of sticks of ram kicking around. Some good, some bad, all outdated. did you know ram sometimes goes bad due to gamma radiation from outer space?
Re: What is new in your little world?
I didn't know about gamma radiation spoiling RAM an it is sounding like aluminum/tin foil hat stuff
But, Re: What is new in your little world? Me, I am off to the big smoke tomorrow, staying overnight and attending a reunion of workmates. It has been a while and since I last saw some of them ... They were looking old
then,
Me, well I still feel like a 40 year old. Funny, I told my Doctor just this morning the same thing. He :olo: and I asked why so funny and his reply was somewhat vague, mentioning he had just turned 69yo and can't get income protection insurance any longer. Oh the woes of Doctors
