Why can't you stay with her parents as well?

I could, but it would add over an hour on to my daily commute for work currently, plus they are moving house themselves in ten days which would add even more time on my work travels. I just cant be doing that; two hours a day is enough as it is.

Bought the new Threadripper 3970x. Missed the first wave of orders but it should be with me beginning of next month. I'm still on my old i7 5820k for work. Quite looking forward to the jump from rendering on 6 cores to rendering on 32.

Crew showing of 1917 on Sunday. One of the films I've worked on that I'm most looking forward to seeing.

Keep us posted on the threadripper; I've been looking at the 3950x but not if it'll be worth the upgrade from the 2700x I have now.

1917 looks mega - looking forward to seeing that one

Nice car

I prefer living in a country where you don't need a car, though.

If you're not doing professional heavy multicore rendering or compiling stuff where time is money then the 3950x is definitely the way to go. Threadripper performance in games actually goes down because of the lower single core clock and the fact games don't know what to do with all the cores.

That’s an awesome hobby. Looks like a lot of fun and you get to see some scenery from places most can’t access.

I just went through Zion for the first time a couple months ago. Absolutely amazing...
