People are hating way too much on The Matrix 2 and 3. They weren't as brilliant as The Matrix (mostly due to people now knowing what tThe Matrix is), but they were fine and enjoyable movies. The biggest problem with part 3 IMO was they focused way too much on Zion and too little on The Matrix itself.

With 2 they tried way too hard with the mind fuck bullshit. It was ok at best. Never really had a desire to watch it a second time. 3 I've seen a couple of times and that was enough. They really weren't all that good. Had nothing to do with how good the first one was.
