no coronavirus thread ?
Re: no coronavirus thread ?
Actually no. They are doing so absolutely bad in a "western world" sense that it is not a good base.Κracus wrote:...
Good thing is the US will be a great baseline to see if your country is doing well in terms of it's covid response. Thanks Trump!

We just might not be seeing the curve; nothing a quick drive to Durham Castle wont sort.

Re: no coronavirus thread ?
Welp, I'm in quarantine. A guy on my team at work caught it, and I got tested last Thursday. Work is giving me a hard time for working from home.. whoo..
Re: no coronavirus thread ?
What’s the test result?
Re: no coronavirus thread ?
He’s pregnant...
Re: no coronavirus thread ?
He will let you know in 7-10 days because murica.
Re: no coronavirus thread ?
That’s what I was getting to. I’ve had two tests. Both had the result in under 48 hours.
Re: no coronavirus thread ?
I haven’t heard of anyone’s test taking days. Some have been as fast as 15 minutes. Maybe the demand isn’t as high locally...

Phew, negative.
Now, do I wait a few more days before I tell my employer?

if your employer has trust issues over WFH maybe consider a new jobLieutenant Dan wrote:Work is giving me a hard time for working from home.. whoo..

Re: no coronavirus thread ?
I'm sure there are similar stories from CA and FL already, and NY will join in soon. It's April all over again.

Re: no coronavirus thread ?
Absolutely. I'm well beyond putting in any extra effort here. Just looking to line something up back in Minnesota. Chicago was fun, but missing the homeland.seremtan wrote:if your employer has trust issues over WFH maybe consider a new jobLieutenant Dan wrote:Work is giving me a hard time for working from home.. whoo..

Mostly around the bigger cities. No surprise there. We're fairly ok here. Maybe 1/4 capacity.

Re: no coronavirus thread ?
New York got hit hard at first. Stands to reason that they are about done with it. Minnesota is showing an upward trend since the middle of June and has started falling again in the last couple of days. I'm not saying it's the sole reason for the spike, but it is a major player. Thousands and thousands of people crowded together has to be a large contributing factor. Or do you think the virus has a conscience and decided not to be present for the protests? Opening up is a factor as well and a rise in cases from that was predicted. I'm thinking there is going to be a general decline again fairly soon.shaft wrote:

Re: no coronavirus thread ?
I'm aware of the numbers and which states started opening their businesses back up first. The spike after protests is non existent when compared to your state exponential rise after reopening. Saying they were a "Major" factor is just a dumb fox news talking point.
