Do you have any scientific journals or studies showing it will be a seasonal virus?

No, it’s a coronavirus, not an influenza virus...

I had read about it last month as possibly coming back seasonal. There was a study done:

A Dutch person was infected twice and died the second time round :/
I understand that specific case was a woman in her late 80's who had treatment for cancer that disabled her immune system. Her body never created antibodies against the virus.
That's correct, I think worldwide there have only been several cases where people got infected for a second time. It's really rare at the moment. There's only a handful of known cases where a person was reinfected a second time with the corona virus.

Germany is going into a lockdown light for the duration of November.
The government declared today that from Nov. 2nd for the month all leisure activity sites and gastronomy has to shut down.
Private Contacts are to be reduced to a max of 10 people of two households in- and outdoors.

There we go again.

And I've lost my job due to the pandemic, finally.

Fuck this...

Thank you guys.
I work in the entertainment branche though, so there is not a lot of light at the end of that tunnel.
Not until some months in the future, at least.

I do have some spares and a plan B. I think it can work out when life can return to normal.

That's a bummer Ferrao10. Were you in acting/performing arts or similar. Was it a big company, say more than 10 employees? Just feeling for you :(

Just reading the news here. Not a good November but I have my fingers crossed for a better December and you Winter in Europe.
France lockdown restricts people leaving home.
French President Emmanuel Macron has announced a nationwide lockdown as cases in the country surge.
The new measures mean people must stay in their homes except to buy essential goods, seek medical attention, or use their daily one-hour allocation of exercise.
These measures will come into effect on Friday.

Haha, I was feeling nostalgic and decided to take a look to see if this place still existed. Great to see so many familiar names from the past!

The winter in europe is going to be ugly in my opinion.
The way the numbers have risen should alarm everybody.

Wage replacement is common in Germany, ever since.
You can get 66% of your last median for a duration of one year. After that, you'll be pretty much fucked.
These times are different though, so let's see.

Yes, kind of. I worked for the Bavaria Filmtour. We guide tourists around the lot of the Bavaria Film Studios just outside Munich. I was working for the technical department; audio, video and lighting. Think of a very small Warner Brothers Movie World or the guys taking care of the "Hobbington"-exposition in New Zealand but with much less money and much less frequented . That was us.

I have a unionized contract with the Bavaria Film Studios directly though. That could be of help in this situation. They have to find an adequate alternative for me within the company before laying me off completely. I might finally end up in the staff working on actual TV- or movie-productions. Movies usually bring their own freelancer-staff though, so my probable destination in that company might be working on TV-productions like cooking-shows, singing-talent, weather-forecast, shit like that. Stil better than twilight though :).
