Re: Did you make a New Year's Resolution
My resolution is to not get Covid-19.
In all seriousness, I never really was one for resolutions. But if I were to make one, it would be to quit my day job and flip houses full time by the end of the year. We'll see.

If you need an arbitrary date to do something meaningful then you're not going to do it, you would have done it before new years lol.

Working on just trying to be a little bit healthier a day at a time in exercise/eating habits
Re: Did you make a New Year's Resolution
I don't think that's necessarily true. When caught up in the hectic day-to-day buzz of your life, it's easy to pass something up under the "I'll get to that tomorrow" umbrella, which, obviously means that you'll keep pushing it ahead indefinitely. Having an arbitrary date like the start of a new year may help to actually pin yourself to it. Not in the least because despite it being kind of arbitrary, it's not just any random meaningless date you set yourself like March 12th or October 22nd. January 1st is part of a social construct that enforces the significance of the date. I believe it may help to get you started on something.Bacon wrote:If you need an arbitrary date to do something meaningful then you're not going to do it, you would have done it before new years lol.
Keeping motivated to continue is a different story.
