Powell’s record took serious blows when (according to Powell, against his better judgment) he used that reputation to sell the United Nations on faulty intelligence relating to weapons of mass destruction that was used by the Bush Administration to justify the invasion of Iraq in 2003.
[...] his speech helped sway public opinion and that of Congress towards the nearly two-decade U.S. occupation of Iraq, which resulted in hundreds of thousands of violent deaths at a minimum (excess deaths are likely at over half a million) and is still ongoing.
Lived too long and too comfortably like all US war criminals. Fuck him, fuck his friends and family, and fuck the everlasting shit out of the spineless goblins that want you to "respect the dead" when they're monsters that elevated themselves to a life of luxury and power on top of the bones of millions of innocent people.
I find it fascinating that people (mostly republicans, I guess) call Obama a war criminal for ordering drone strikes, but selectively choose to forget about this whole ordeal.
