Merry Christmas, Happy New Year or Seasons Greeting

Post by Whiskey 7 »

Merry Christmas & Happy New Year and for the others, Seasons Greeting.
Best wishes & cheers :D

Like those Christmas cards I send to old friends from years ago, those I intend to catch up with, if you lurk, it is probably time to drop by and say hello.

What's so merry about Christmas, or happy about the new year, or greeting about the seasons? Meh indeed.

'tis the season Eraser :D
Dunno about where you are, but things are getting increasingly Christmassy here. With things looking a bit dicey regarding Omicron and potential lockdowns, the usual Christmas wind-down seems to be kicking in early.

Although there's part of me that suspects the average UK resident is also using the scenario as an excuse to bunk off early, a healthy attitude to have at this time of year :D

oic :D

Well, our kids were supposed to go to school for another week, but gov't decided schools should close down a week early because of COVID.

Their primary argument is that with Christmas being the first Saturday and Sunday of the holiday, it'd be better to have the kids at home for a week before seeing their grandparents for the Christmas days. With people still having to work, what you see happening is that a lot of people get their parents to take care of their kids while they go to work :dork: Or people use it as an opportunity to go skiing abroad a week earlier. I don't think this is going to work out like the gov't wanted it to.

Nice  That took effort to organize/arrange.

Here, the retail shopping madness has two days left to run and I have to venture out to the bookstore as the new Jeffrey Archer has arrived earlier than expected. I plan to be there as the doors open at 8am.

Merry Christmas Q3W. I finally got my scoot finished. I know it sucks and is completely awful. But for some reason everywhere I go people keep telling me how awesome they think it is... I'm sure they're idiots. Anyway, I hope you and your family are well. I trust you've all had your fifthteenth booster by now and are enjoying the latest authoritarian lockdown/mandate... Here's to a prosperous and Covid hysterical new year.

Cheers.
