Do I need to disable CMSS 3D to have true 5.1 games like doom and half life? Also give me some names of good 5.1 games.

CMSS stereo surround is a very smart feature, it only upmixes stereo signals.

So if the game outputs 4.1/5.1/7.1 EAX signals, CMSS stereo surround will disable itself automatically.

If the game is 2.1, then the sound will be stereo reflected by cmss stereo surround (left to left, right to right, matrix center)
