Lots of money to be made in the event-branche post-Covid during these months in Germany. Be it lighting-, sound-, media-technician. Concerts, faires, conferences. Fuck me, companies all over are looking for capacities at the moment.
Well, most of the event-companies fired a lot of their people around March.
I've used the momentum to negotiate a 15% salary increase with the employer I've worked for for just 1 year now. Salary was normal, now it is "good normal" :) .

My thanks Eraser

I had been looking for this and it just appeared as a 'special deal' as it retails here for $389 AUD and I've scored it just now for $234 AUD :D and free delivery.

Might be a Christmas present or
investment. Dunno!

Any tennis players here? I never played a single round of tennis in my life but took my first try-out tennis lesson today. I'm going to sign up for their winter lessons programme, just so I got to get up and actually go do something. I go out and run twice a week but it gets a bit boring. Tennis seems fun.

Tennis is fun as I remember and the memory is still fine.
Remembering... I played tennis at school 50+ years ago where I was in the B Team in the ladder but never represented the school. Wish I'd kept it going. Young people, even then, I don't know :smirk:

Good idea the coaching/lessons. An active sport like this makes for a good physical workout

And yes, I do agree here. I don't think (from what I see of in your build pictures) that it will last any time 'in the box' :D
Reminds me to do a stock-take of all my Lego Technic and City Train sets. I do have to stop buying but there are still two to get and that's the new Cargo Train 60336.

Attempting to sort through a mountain of pk3 files to figure out what's missing, what's lost, what's a duplicate.

6250 files to go :owned:

If you feel like making my week worse, and you have a stash of obscure quake 3 levels hidden on an old HDD, please get in touch. Maybe you have something I don't have.

Torrent coming soon for fellow masochists that love box rooms and missing textures.

Probably not obscure, but all of the levels me, my bro and our friend made under the Engines of Creation flag are still available here: http://www.theenginesofcreation.com/addons.php

When I was young I played quite a bit. Get good shoes that support your ankles.

Thank you, I had all of these (mostly via the map pack) but it's always good to trade out .pk3 files with the .zip file that they originally came in, often with an extra readme.

Turns out it's harder to find levels than you would think, past a certain point. The amount of sites that google just doesn't index is staggering, and it's less common to find the more searchable file extensions (.pk3, .bsp) uploaded outside of an un-indexed container archive.

Ironically the Elite Force community seems to have a larger stash of obscure q3 levels than the q3 community does.

Hmmm, now that you mention it, I spotted some in a directory the other day when I was making space. Lemme see what I've got.
None of it mine of course. I was a filthy Mac head when I started getting in to Q3, and so didn't have access to mapping tools.

Now I saw mention, here I think and recently, of Elite Force. I recall visiting the site and seeing some (I thought rare/unusual) :q3: maps.
Anybody got a link please? I just have to load and run about them

Off not on Eraser :D

Might be a large patio/balcony (all subjective anyway) but luckily close to the Pacific Ocean.

We are only approximately lust 2 kilometres (a mile and a bit) from the area where later 4 pods, yes 4 pods of whales were up to there antics :) breaching and 'carrying on'.

Just a lovely sight and as the Mrs says, like seeing dinosaurs in the garden (but not so close).
