You can see examples here: https://lvlworld.com/search/geocompI want to do a Geocomp event this summer, but most of all, I want it to succeed. Getting mappers to make Quake 3/Quake Live maps has turned out to be quite the challenge. Now, running a poll like this is no guarantee. I mean, life can change pretty quickly; plans get messed up and so on. Still, please give it some serious thought before answering the poll above. Regardless of the number of participants, it takes a lot of time to set these events up.
For those that don't know, Geocomp refers to mapping competitions that used to be held for Quake 3. The core rule of the Geocomp series was to strictly limit the number of textures mapmakers could use. This constraint forced designers to showcase intricate architecture and vertical gameplay through brush geometry alone. If this event goes through, I'll publish an article on the website with everything you need to know about it.

I'm running a poll over at Map-Center about the possibility of hosting a Geocomp event this summer. This might interest mappers here as well. No need to join our server if you don't want to; you can simply respond here if you're interested. There will be a dedicated page on the website as well (if we go through with it).
Inf - Leaving in it's torturous wake nothing but vicious, cannabalistic, mutated, radiated and horribly disfigured hordes of satanic killers!
