Revenge of the Sith
I find it funny how Lucas just moved the "h" in "Shit" and got "Sith".
On the other hand he used to say that he should be doing porn, because that's where the money were. But by some freak accident Star Wars managed to make a shitload of money (mostly on merchandise and toys), and so he could never to into the porno business without losing his credibility and the cash cow that the Star Wars franchise had become. I bet he still cries a little tear every time that he thinks about how he ended up in children entertainment instead of adult.

You are taking this way too seriously.o'dium wrote:Aye, that was also a heart stopping moment george should be shot for.MKJ wrote:lol yea that was quite homophobic. and hey, wasnt the point of seeing old Anakin as a ghost to show us he was 'accepted' as a good person again, for killing the emperor ?
oh and the concert CG at Jabba's Palace was completely uncalled for too btw. (i know that was also in the 1997 SE but still). i feel embarassed watching that
If it wasn't for the latest film actually NOT sucking, I would email him hate letters making sure not to use a capital G on his name so that he feels small...
Not that I didn't expect it, just pointing it out.

I didn't know that about Lucas not directing empire and return of the jedi. Makes sense, though, as those two were a lot more 'watchable' than the rest in terms of horrible lines, etc. But even though LUcas didn't direct those two, didn't he write the dialogue for them? But the ones LUcas has directed himself (aside from star wars) have all been utter shit (that is just ep. 1 and 2 for me...haven't seen Sith yet), but I am holding out no hope for Sith. I like action, but I don't think I should have to sit through dialogue and acting so bad it makes me want to jam a fork in my eye during the movie to see the good action.
Lucas is a shitty director when it comes to sci-fi it would seem.

Hey, if Luke was supposed to be in hiding from his Dad, why was he still called Skywalker??? and wouldn't his aunts and uncle's place be a shit place to hide?
I love that Lucas has bluffed the whole trilogy. "I had the whole story planned from the start". LOL, he fucking bluffed the lot, and made it up as he went along.

The only other thing I ever saw him in was "Life as a House" and he was pretty awful in that too - but his character was written that way. I'll have to see him in something else before I can make a sure judgement.tnf wrote:I know that the Star Wars movies aren't supposed to be top-notch cinema in terms of acting, but why can a guy like Lucas not cast a better actor for Anakin? Or am I missing some quality of Hayden Christensen or whatever his name is that everyone else sees? Is his horrid acting actually intentional - meaning, is what I see as bad acting his trying to convey some character trait...

Aye. The punk cries like a little girl for *doing that thing to That guy *(Wont say, spoilers) and then, even after how shit he feels, he just goes and kills all the younglings...SplishSplash wrote:saw it yesterday.
Anakin: WHAT HAVE I DONE!
Palpatine: The right thing, lol!
Anakin: Phew, thank goodness. I'm off to slaughter some children, laterz!
Its almost as if he thought "right, well, cant go back now, i'm already a little bit dark side, may as well carry on"
Then again, if he DID turn around and say "Stoopid iiiiiiiiiiiiidiot!" to Pimpletoon the whole series would be kinda pointless, meh...
lol, fuck off. Skywalker is like Jones or Smith in spacePauly wrote:Hey, if Luke was supposed to be in hiding from his Dad, why was he still called Skywalker??? and wouldn't his aunts and uncle's place be a shit place to hide?

OK, I've seen it and I was moderately impressed. Better than the other two by far, and as dark as the hype said. Some of the connections between the 1st and 2nd trilogy were a little clumsy (erasing 3POs memory sticks out) and quite frankly Anakin should have died after losing his legs and setting on fire ffs but hey - willing suspension of disbelief etc.

:icon19: since the first shot of 3PO in ep1 i assumed that they were going to get them selves out of it that way. and they actually did it, too

No.
They also don't explain:
* how Vader is taller than the Emperor in the first trilogy, but shorter in the second;
* how it is that Leia can have any memory of her mother (which she says she does in Return of the Jedi) when her mother died the moment she was born;
* how Vader comes to know Luke is his son when at the end of Sith he believes Padme (and hence her unborn children) is dead.
