So I got Guild Wars

Who here plays? Is it possible to enjoy this game and be competetive in it without logging in over 100 hours of gameplay a week like many MMORPG freaks do?

The reason I thought it looked good is that the box said "skill, not hours played, determines the outcomes of fights" or something to that effect. Is that the case?

Is there any single player to this game or is it all MP?

Reason I ask is I have the cd images but no key, not going to try and find a key gen b/c a game like this would be pretty hard to get online with a internet key eh?

Any ideas, PM would be nice.

It sucks..

Its a FAKE mmo.. i dont like fake mmos.. i like mmos that let me interact with real people outside of towns..

you might like it, if your into that whole "being alone" thing..

its more like Diablo 2, imagine if you will.. towns are like the lobbys in diablo 2.. outside of towns are instances, think of the actual "servers" for d2..

I got lvl 14 in 5 days playing like 2 to 3 hours a day maybe. I play with a couple of irl friends tho, comes in hany for doing missions etc.

The game is ez compared to other MMORPG, but that's a serious fun factor. Battle your way trough various missions and quest, you can also do some arena battles against other players in different cities, real good to know the abilities of your character.

@ Soapboy, this is the kinda of MMMORPG I greately recommend to players who cba with all the goddamn details like in Dark Age of Camelot and whatever.

TNF, you'll have fun with it, collect some money, sort your gear out and find yourself a couple of mates to do missions with.

Technically it isn't, since you can only do quest and missions with a limited party and the only way you come across other players is in the cities, ur right.

Maybe that will chance in add-ons, I doubt it tho.

Its alright for people who dont want to pay to play.. but the fact is, most of the community, sucks, its children with worse additudes than the idiots here.. and well lets face it, it gets old quick.. :-\

Game had ALOT of potential.. back in closed beta it fucking owned.. and everything was going great.. then it all changed -_-

What class should I use? I'm a warrior right now because I figured that'd be teh easiest beginner class.

If I don't get round to it Memph, fender or U4EA will.

EDIT: Regarding class, Warrior's good, and to make your first character a nice and easy introduction, choose Monk as your secondary.
It'll raise your survivability.

also, dont ask other people what class you want to be. first off yer encouraged to be multiclassed.
secondly, there are no character killing mistakes you can make. if you spent attribpoints on an attrib you never use skills for, you can always "refund" them and put that xperience in an attrib you -do- use

so just pick a class that suits your wants in a char, not on whats the easiest or most pragmatic

you can play solo but thats still online
