Okay, this album is quite old by now, but I bought it a couple of days ago. I already had the album
100th Window which I enjoyed and I saw this one in the bargain bin so I decided to buy it.
Good album
Teardrop and Angel are pretty well known songs I think, but the rest is good as well. Odd kind of music, can't really fit it into any type of music. Interesting to say the least.

I heard Massive Attack and Tricky both being categorized as "trip hop".
I like them, mezzanine is probably my favorite. Check out "Protection" for a slightly more groovy side of Massive Attack.

Grab "Blue Lines" too. Similarly essential.

Grab the 'Danny the Dog' a.k.a Unleashed movie soundtrack too, all the music in the film is by MA.

blue lines and protection were fucking amazing...i cant remember the name of the remix version of protection, but that kicked ass as well.
the other shit they did was ok.
protection has to be the best coming down off pills at 4am album. portishead is the best coming down off even more pills at 6am album

I've seen an album named "No Protection" of them which had the same track names as the Protection album. Perhaps that's the one.

It's great music to listen to when you lie down on your bed and close your eyes :icon14:

I bought Mezzanine when it first was out. Was strange, kinda dark maybe, but it grew on me and now it's my most favorite album by far
100th Windows is also good, as are the other albums they have (I have them all), but Mezzanine is the best by far
I'll never grow tired of listening to it.
