All was working fine until a day or so ago. Now, after a few mins of use on the PC, my mouse starts to fuck up. It starts to jump, every second. So, the rest of the second is fine, but then at the last milisecond it will skip a beat, so if i was moving my mouse over the screen, it will pause then jump back.
Its not just my mouse though... EVERYTHING on the PC freezes for a split second, then goes back to normal, every second or so. Then, as if by magic, after a while it stops. Its stopped and started 3 or so times while typing this.
I dunno if its related, i think it is, but i replaced my DVD rom the other day, now every so often i hear it whiz up and then the problem starts. My dvd drive is also always flashing. Could it be related?
Ill try removing i later and seeing if that stops it, if so... Fuck...
Really odd fucked up problem
I'm now convinced it was my dvd rom. I started it today, and everythign went crazy. Took forever to get into windows, then after it left the XP loading screen it just sat at a black screen. After a while my cd in the drive started to spin, and it loaded the login screen. EVERYTHING was jumpy as fuck.
Logged in, did the smooth-stop-smooth motion on my whole pc, then went. came back a little later when i was looking at my emails, so i turned the pc off, checked every connection to make sure it was fine and while there took out the cables for the dvd rom drive.
Booted up, nice and fast, nice and smooth, not a problem to hear of.
Very odd, but for now i'll leave this one drive out i think until i can get another.

I've had it years, and its not the best driveYourGrandpa wrote:It may not be your DVD drive. It may be the O/S or the motherboard. You should try the DVD drive in another computer before you run out and buy a new one.

There isn't any need for it, i have a DVD writer +/- now, so the only reason i was leaving this in was the sake of having another drive in there.
