that's what i was wondering about - does it not rain much in your neck of the woods? - like in that bit where all the old people are.

btw trees
One of the many things I absolutely despised about Florida. Developers completely raze a patch of ground and then slap together a hojillion cookie-cutter houses that are three feet apart. Then they dub it "Mallard Trace Forest Dunes Walk Point Glen on the Lake".
Repeat ad nauseum.

I don't live in a subdivision or a planned community.

BTW, it has rained all week long here.

This for example is what I actually call a "garden":

What you did is building a lawn mower race track decked with some flower pots...

Sorry, I don't have 15 acres of property to go willy-nilly planting flowers on. Nor do I want to take care of all that.

It's funny how some of you losers can find so many things wrong with something.

only a loser on a colossal scale would rather pay someone else to do something they could otherwise..do themselves. the feeling of accomplishment will always be wasted on you. too bad.

TBH, it wouldn't have been worth getting someone in to do that.

But seriously, Gramps, why did you paint your house that colour? It doesn't suit, and the path and detailing around the windows makes you look like you've got a couple of children in the oven.

my comment to gramps was based on his end results and not on an anti-diy philosophy

It's a newly developed area. Not much time for lots of big trees and spanning foliage.
