And I REALLY want to skydive again. Me and my friends plan on making it a yearly event at least. It's true what they say - do it once and you're hooked.
No shit. My jump master had over 1500 jumps. He had a huge grey beard and was older than Moses but jumped as often as he could.

I haven't gone in a while. I think I'll do it this summer.
Do all skydivers wear helmets? Who was it that said "if you fall out that plane and your parachute doesn't open...that helmets wearing YOU."

We had to wear just a thin leather cap sort of thing, and its only function was to attach the goggle to your head.

I had to wear this thin plastic helmet that wouldn't protect me from rough sex let alone anything else. I guess it helps the straps from ripping your ears off if a problem developed.

Are you kiddin'? And I don't joke about dives!! (Back to School)

2 years ago my goals were crystal clear. This dissertation fucking roller coaster has changed my shit all over the place. I'll just be happy if in 10 years time I'm still upright.

I still kick myself everytime I realize that I would have finished my dissertation about 4 years ago had I not bailed...

kaz: if it was not for maths, i'd study media architecture or a cross between architecture and informatics (computer science).
i think a design related study is more of a help for LD...

i've actually got a life list tacked to my wall of the 104 (its growing as i spend time thinking about them) things I want to do before I die. Its got things ranging from the overly simply to the extremely complex.

a sample:

- Climb Kilimanjaro (doing that Dec. 22nd - my bday - 2006 through Jan 9th 2007)
- Lower my handicap to below 5
- See the northern lights
- Watch the Masters in person
- Go to a series of World Cup games
- Travel to NZ
- Tour the UN building
- Build a chair and table set
- Watch the Tour de France in person
- Become a search and rescue volunteer
- Plant an apple tree
- Ride for charity (i'm riding this sunday in the Tour de Cure for the American Diabetes Association)
- Volunteer for a youth soccer league

and lots more :icon26:

Hmm, just saw this. Apparently 81% of the population here wants to write a book at some point. So I guess we're not so weird after all.

I'm with you on this one. With the degrees I'm pursuing, I think that I have a good shot at getting hired on with ABB Robotics in Sweden. Now I would absolutely love that, and I think my wife would be cool with it, but my mom would shit a blue bean if I moved to another continent.
She'll get over it.

BTW....in Sweden weed is "really" illegal....meaning severe penalties for what I'd consider a minor offense. And Sweden just made it illegal for people to smoke cigarettes anywhere but your home....pretty much.

It's a nice place and the people are great. Where's the job? If it's Malmo I'll cross the strait and kick you in the sack with a clown shoe.
Oops, I meant Switzerland. They have jobs in numerous countries, including Germany, Norway, and China. I'd be interested in any except China. No fucking way I'm eating fish heads and dog balls three meals a day.

Staying contented you mean? That seems like a pretty simple goal.

Never been to swissiland but I hear it's both gorgeous and expensive.

A former co-worker of mine (an American from San Diego) lived and worked in Shanghai and he liked it. In that place on a "normal" US salary you live like a king.

Germany...well..it has dieg0...so that means you must wear a sports cup backwards at all times.

BTW...when are you gonna get around to making that ass-wiper robot I requested? Fuckin hell man do you have any idea how many wipes it takes to get to middle of a crusted starfish?

Just have a good shit every day and you'll accomplish this goal.
