quake is messed up

I dont know what I did but now everytime i try to join quake it takes me to this other mods main page in quake and stuff is like blanked out in black and white, does anyone know what I can do to get it back to regular quake 3

you most likely installed a downloaded file that overwrites the default quake3 settings and files.

look for pak9.pk3 ..most likely that's you mod.
rename it pak9.pkk and try quake.

quake3 should only have as a default fresh install of quake3 and newest patches these pk3 file

pak0.pk3 to pak8.pk3

a downloaded map may also be messing up your default quake3.
try backing up and removing some maps and till you find the bad one.
a mod most likely wouldn't be doing this ...a good guess is a pk3 file is doing it.
