Controlling winamp while in game.

Post by bork[e] »

In games like Doom 3, Quake 3, Quake 2 ect... Where you can't hit the little windows key to minimize the game, is there way to volume up/down change tracks ect in winamp without having to close the game?

There are plugins you can download that will allow you to assign a key (or sequence) to certain functions, but it isn't all that hard to press winkey and either click the system tray icon to make winamp come to the front, or right click the icon and do what you want via the menu.

winamp.com - Clicky click. - Pick one.

covert winamp controller is excellent for quake.

It runs by monitoring the mod directory for condump commands.

(it's linked here along with a couple other programs that might be similar)

It's not that hard, but I would rather press a certian key to get it done.

Thanks for the link, any you have tried that worked good for you?
