powerball

Post by DRuM »

It seems to be a good thing. Check out all the stuff about it. I was talking to a friend on msn, a very leet quake3 player, and he had this to say about it:

"basicly a 250gram piece of kit that with centrifugal force can go up to 40 pounds of weight , its quite amusing ... first 2 days of using it my hands n wrists hurt like crazy just too much pc time, but after a while that went away and it feels better then ever. fits in your hand , it also greatly improves coordination. it helped my q3 game out too as you have to feel the rotation and the weight of the gyro inside to power it. takes a few days to master it. been using it for 3 weeks now, helped me a lot.
first 2 days tho my hands felt like total crap. i just overdid it way too much and had huge muscle pain n stiffness. now its completely loose n fluent again "

What do you use it for, to gain more strenght in your fingers or what?

Is it like a fucking yo-yo?

Well it was designed to help against RSI, but you will also gain more strenght in your hand when using it alot. So I think most people use it to gain more strenght in their hands (and lower arm iirc)

I have one. The admin posted on some other boards i visit because of the hundreds of orders he got from there as everyone was praising them. Seemed like a cool guy.

They rock. Make sure you only get one from powerball-europe.com and it has a timer. Other sites sell them but their fake versions, and the timer makes it more competative with friends etc :D.

depends if it is used or not....I would just get one from the main website and be safe than get a cheapo version. You get what you pay for.

And the neon ones aren't exactly kosher.....they are manufactured by a psoer company

I got one of those things when I was like 13. From some now defunct 'cool junk' magazine. "The Edge Company."
I still have it, but it's super glued together from where my sister dropped it.
It doesn’t have a fancy readout or even a cover above the hole, you start it with a string. I still mess with it from time to time.
It was like $15. :icon26:

May have to get one of these new fangeled versions.

Do these really help prevent RSI and stuff?

What about for rehabilitating wrist injuries?

It definitly strengthens your wrist, forearm, and toughens your hand up.

I dont have limp wrist diseases so I couldn't tell ya

it is addicting though...everyone I showed it to bought one because I wouldn't let them borrow mine anymore :D
