Players who never say 'gg'
Players who never say 'gg'
This is going to sound very petty. But recently, I've been getting annoyed at one or two players on an FFA server I go to, simply because they NEVER say gg. I'm thinking of one leet player right now who was on this server for hours, winning practically every game, ( and I have no problem with that at all), yet not ONCE said 'gg', and in fact, never said anything for all the time he was there. What is it with some of these people? I mean how damn hard is it to just say'gg' if only now and then? How hard is it to just SPEAK! They're like human bots but with no social skills built in. It's FFA, not tdm, yet they take it all so serious, have no social skills, and make it less fun. I've aired my opinions to some other friends of mine on that server, only I'm pissing them off a bit now for moaning :/
I know it's not obligatory, but I see a bit of verbal interaction on a server as showing that you're being friendly. People who say nothing, not even 'gg' AND win mostly are showing, as far as I'm concerned, complete arrogance and disregard. If I was running a server, I'd kick anyone like that :icon33:

Yeah but c'mon lets face it... it will never change. How do you know that the people that don't talk at all just don't speak another language and don't feel like talking? There's hundreds of other possibilities, not all players that don't say "gg" are arrogant jerks. Or people that don't talk at all for that matter, mabye they don't want to get at all involved with people online?
Alright, I accept they may not all be arrogant jerks. But the only players I've come across like that are the leet ones. And a lot of the pro players I've met ARE arrogant. It seems the better some players get, the less they feel the need to be friendly, as though it's uncool. But this player was on the server non stop all day long. If he doesn't speak english ( although his name had UK in it), it's still common knowledge to say gg. Fucks sake, make a bind and press it. That's like..SO DIFFICULT! Manners... some people simply don't have them. They're just gaming geeks. I play quake3 for fun, and the majority of players are very cool.Bacon wrote:Yeah but c'mon lets face it... it will never change. Sometime i only say G after a game, it all depens who i'm playing with...If it's people i don't know, i won't talk a lot.
But if it's people i know, i will talk with them after the map is finish...ill go spectate and chat...
But to be honest with you, people that play with different nick all the time when they know the people that are allready playing...piss me OFF much more then the GG at the end of the map...

In a way BACON is right, lot's of people i know, don't speak and don't understand english at all...
But on the other hand, i have to admit with you that a GG at the end sometime isnt to hard to do, its like a universal language for gamers...

Well dan, there's a difference between saying gg sometimes, and , never saying it after having played dozens and dozens of games one after the other. Im sure you and most people on this forum chat a little on servers, and say gg. Tbh, I'd rather a player was being rude, flaming, anything, rather than being completely mute all the time. Don't ask me why this bugs me, I dunno. Just a pet hate I guess.
lol @ expecting 'social skills' from onlineplayinggeeks.
Seriously, DRuM, it seems you spend a little too many hours playing the game. In the old days, people got annoyed about every little goddamn thing, like, when I emptied a whole FFA-server with a 250+ ping. My goodness, what a cunt, I smell aimbot.
you know, I mostly care for good manners in real life, like on the job, in my relationship, with my friends and family.
And so should you.
PS: fuck the cunts who dont say 'gg' every time you had a good game!
