how many of you start driving using both feet on each pedal after you play some online racing games using a steering wheel controler?

I guess you mean for an automatic? Since over here most of us have manuals that's kind of how you have to drive. (if you mean only using one foot before)

But I don't really care if I drive a manual car or an automatic. Although, driving to school in the morning I'd prefer an automatic because of the damn stop-and-go rush hour traffic.

I prefer manuals, but if I had one I'd still want an automatic for traffic and commuting.

i've never driven an automatic, but the thought of not being in control of the gears doesn't seem that appealing.

I prefer standard, but whatever. It doesn't really matter. I'll drive whatever is there at the time.
edit: But the only time I'll use both feet is with a standard.

Both feet all the time, faster brake reaction time.

I don't use brakes. The car in front of me usually does the trick.

No their not. With manuals you can shift at the RPM you need; going up hiill you can shift slightly later so your revs won't drop off too much, etc. Also with manual you can use engine breaking better; as in coming down through the gears to stop rather than using brakes.

That's true to some degree, newer cars have better detection and can detect if your going up hill or down hill or if your turing while speeding up.

During a drag race thou, good luck with manual. You miss a switch by a split second and you loose. Newer cars can also be tunned better. So you can tune it when you want it to switch gears.

Engine braking is also very possible with Autos.... o.0
There is nothing stopping you from downshifing the engine when you want...
And also this is a silly conversation...
Any American who is serious about Cars most likely perfers a stick (esp if they're into sports cars)
But I don't see the point of calling a mother of 3 who is in traffic all day with kids lazy because she drives an auto.

So true, if there is traffic a manual becomes a pain in the ass to use. It's simply the trend people who race claim they can "feel the car better" and maybe there is some truth to that but newer cars can out preform with automatic.
