The pattern is clear
Explosions in London subway, several casualties
just got home. firstly, i hate how Al-Queda is blamed for everything. secondly, i like the way english reporting is handling this, nothing like the US's BAM! ATTACK ON AMERICA! BAM! ACTION NEWS!... at least i know what's going on when i'm watching BBC without scene changes every second.
i hope everyone gets out safe and alive -- everyone on q3w and thier families, friends, friends-of-friends.

As we were buying grog tonight, a woman walked into the store and bought about 4 bottles of straight spirits. This is when i first heard about the attacks on London -- her young daughter was over there on a holiday, backpacking and staying with a few friends where she could. This woman was nearly in tears as she was talking to us about what had happened, she was so desperately worried about her daughter. She had heard about the attacks on radio and TV, and had tried calling her but to no avail -- couldn't get through.
Everyone is affected by this. At very least, because you occasionally visit an online message board that has a couple of people in London on it. To anyone comparing WTC 9/11 to this, shut the fuck up. Firstly, because this is different entirely; and secondly, you're showing how much of a cunt you are by trying to enter a pissing contest in which you see how many of your people you can get killed off by terrorists.
Again, and I cannot say this enough, I hope everything's okay, everyone's okay, and also that not too much race stereotyping comes out of this on the other end.

This may have something to do with the reason, the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange annual conference on investing in Isreali companies. Netanyahu was supposed to be there:

i heard on BBC world (or similar broadcast) about an hour or two after the first attacks that there was a online message post claiming al-qaeda responsibility? i could have misunderstood it as a "forum post", but my point still stands -- many millions of people have access to email and the internet. noone is suprised if the source is ANYWHERE in the world, due to proxies, etc, and as such i could go claim responsibility for the next attack that happens as soon as i hear about it. One of the other terrorist attacks in the US post-9/11 had at least two or three groups 'claimed responsibility' for the attack... I'm amazed my journey across london this morning and my journey home just now was relatively painless, even though my alternative route home still took 2 hours instead of 30 minutes. Oh and they lifted the congestion charge today, how generous of them. I usually take the underground trains on thursdays, but recently started driving there.
Police everywhere, station gates and doors closed, and some short tempered drivers beeping. I feel gutted about 45 people killed, with the death toll to rise. I can't imagine what it must be like to be a friend, husband, wife, boyfriend, girlfriend, brother, sister, mother or father of someone that went out today and all of a sudden, bang, bye bye life.
