Cheers. First thing I did was ring my mum. More because she would want to know that I'm ok, and I know that she wouldn't have been in london.Don Carlos wrote:Hope you didnt lose anyone drum
Glad your ok too
You got me thinking though. I just rang my bandleader who works at the BBC in white city. He told me he got the train there, and guess what. His first connection got to kings cross at 8.15am. That's 35 minutes before that bomb went off at kings cross. :icon28:

Both db's and tb's statements have an air of stupidity surrounding them.mik0rs wrote:Fucking idiot.
Anyway, hope everyone over there is okay.
Blamed? They often take responsibility...glossy wrote:just got home. firstly, i hate how Al-Queda is blamed for everything. secondly, i like the way english reporting is handling this, nothing like the US's BAM! ATTACK ON AMERICA! BAM! ACTION NEWS!... at least i know what's going on when i'm watching BBC without scene changes every second.
i hope everyone gets out safe and alive -- everyone on q3w and thier families, friends, friends-of-friends.
nvm..see this has been discussed.
to be fair to tinfoil hat mom, al-qaeda is largely a fiction. it's a convenient label for bush/blair because it gives the impression there's a clearly defined enemy out there rather than a nebulous bunch of muppets who think alike, and it's convenient for the muppets because they think it'll scare us.Don Carlos wrote:An Islamist website has posted a statement - purportedly from al-Qaeda - claiming it was behind the attacks.

I don't disagree with the concept behind your post, but why do you say that Al-Qaeda is mostly ficitonal? What evidence do you have to support this? Why IS Geoof such a useless fag?seremtan wrote:to be fair to tinfoil hat mom, al-qaeda is largely a fiction. it's a convenient label for bush/blair because it gives the impression there's a clearly defined enemy out there rather than a nebulous bunch of muppets who think alike, and it's convenient for the muppets because they think it'll scare us.Don Carlos wrote:An Islamist website has posted a statement - purportedly from al-Qaeda - claiming it was behind the attacks.
for those among you who are able to read german, here's a rather amusing overview of today's media coverage, generated by german newspaper FAZ:Pext wrote:hm... it will be juicy to observe the reaction of the media over the next days.

"They called it a 'Tube' ", said an n-tv-man astounded, "They've been locked up in such a 'Tube'. How would one have to imagine this?"
