Log On Problem

Post by Kills On Site »

Well I have a problem that is becoming more presistant and is happening every time I turn on my computer and log on to Windows. Windows XP SP2 to be exact. The first log in after boot up my system tray does not load my volume control or the Safely Remove Hardware icon for my printer and network adapter, and USB thumbdrive and camera when they are attached. It only loads Norton AV 9 Corp. and Belkin Bulldog (for my UPS). I then have to log off and log back on for all for sys tray icons appear. Does anyone what causes this or how to stop it as it is getting extremely annoying?

Well I found out that if I wait a while, like 15 seconds, before initially logging in both sys tray icons load

Strong enough that this shouldnt happen. Have you looked in msconfig to see how many programs are loading on startup?
