They already have some places in New Orleans that have those cams, and the people loved it so much, they are trying to buy cams and have them installed in other areas that they go to or live.
The people who installed the cam thought it was going to be poorly taken, and instead it was embraced.
The crime in the areas that the cams where installed had gone from throught the roof, down to hardly any crime at all. I guess the places where real heavy drug dealing hot-spots.
To be honest though, I can care less if I have one near me or not. I'm not dealing drugs, and I'm not into crime.
hah yea i just felt like going into super trooper mode for a second, but on a more serious note, i don't really have much of a problem with public surveillence, but i feel these inner thought that it is sorta like nazi germany and slowly our freedoms are being taken away but at a pace that it is very difficult to decide that your rights are being taken away... i mean if you aren't committing a crime then you should have no problem with the cameras, but then i don't know what a crime will consist of in 10 years... ugh i'm just so sad...
True.. so any Brits laughing at Canadians or Americans losing their rights need to take a good look in the mirror first... Especially considering a considerable number of those British CCTV cams have been installed by British citizens, not the government.
