Just finished Oddworld:Stranger for the Xbox

Post by tnf »

It was so much better than Halo 2's single player that its really sad this game won't get more attention.

The only downside was they could have used slightly better voice acting.

Some hilarious shit in this game, great level design, cool weapons, lots of ways to kill stuff in each situation, etc., etc., etc...

IMHO, the best single player action/adventure/FPS on the Xbox to date.

Give it a rental at least.

i never liked the oddworld setting. it was fun when it was still a 2d game but when it made its transition to 3d i lost all interest.

recently beat Beyond Good & Evil though. now that is a quality adventure with tons of different playing styles to mix it up, ranging from FPS to racing to puzzling to sneaking :icon14:
oh and great music

Now that the Guild Wars beta is over, I'll probably be starting Beyond Good and Evil next.

Halo 2 is mostly getting all the attention for the Xbox love play. THe storyline was confusing

That's the way Bungie does games; you have to go back and play them again to get the whole idea. I had to play Marathon Infinity 5-6 times before I had the slightest clue of what was going on (yeah, OK, that was Double Aught)

Trust me, this game is not like the other oddworld games. The setting is much more diverse, a bit less bizarre, and more enjoyable.

Give this game a chance before writing it off because of previous oddworld games, this one is a lot different - in a completely different league.

Play this game.

Let me know when you get it...there are some parts you don't want to miss that you might if you just go straight through the game (spend time beating up the villagers so you can hear all the comments they make through the loudspeakers, for example...)
