hi everyone
i got sick b'coz of this b'coz a file named pak0.pk3 in folder baseq3 got currupted and when i instal quake 3 it says could not load default.cfg

Copy the pak0.pk3 from your CD to the baseq3 folder. That'll solve your problems.

If you try to run Quake III Arena and receive the error message, "Couldn't Load default.cfg", the game is basically telling you that it can not find the \baseq3 directory that is part of the original Quake III Arena. Most often this message appears when you have a minimum install of Quake III Arena, and then attempt to run either game without the Quake III Arena CD in the CD-ROM drive.

Quake III Arena uses data that is contained in the \baseq3 directory of Quake III Arena.

If you are using a minimum install of Quake III Arena, you must have the Q3A CD in your CD-ROM drive when playing Q3A.

i'm not sure about raman_13_s, but i'm think that he could have downloaded the q3a game off of a filesharing app like you guys.


but i also have a problem with my arena, sometimes during singleplayer playing i will be taken to my desktop instead of playing the game. just pretend i'm playing a nice game of q3 with bones. We are playing in longest yard and the WAM to the desktop.

I wonder why?

doesnt' happen in mp, i even connected to a server with the same bot playing on the same map and played fine.
