What's with all the spam?
Is anyone else getting a butt-load of spam from this server? I'm getting a bunch of reply notifications. It's like I was supposed to be getting notified for as long as the site has been back up, and they're all just now coming today.
Anyone else?
Anyone else?

I don't know what's going on!!! I'm getting an e-mail every couple minutes.
When the site came back up and I was trying to activate my account, it kept saying "please check your e-mail so you can continue with the creation of your account" and I never got the e-mail. I must have tried that 15 times... and just now the e-mails are coming.
They're all from the same address. rawATquake3world.com. They're automated e-mails.
Oh btw rough... I LOVE your servers.
best Q3 DM and CTF experiences I've ever had online were on the A51 servers.

I am getting them too, please for the love of god stop it.
This is like months old... they should have created a date filter or something so it just trashed the old crap.
Peace, I still love you guys!

A little explanation:
While the forum has up and running for the last few months the SMTP server was still disabled. Raw contacted GSI and finally got it back online. If you have the reply notification option enabled in preferences, it looks like it's sending you every single notification that you've requested, although a little belated.

I know what you mean. Luckily I was able to talk to one of the admins back then and got my old account back. It is kind of funny seeing all the e-mails pouring into my inbox NOW though... I mean, they're 4 months old.

Yeah, I was going to say, I've been hardly posting at all since the server came back up. I post every few days, and I got probably about 200 e-mails today. I feel for you.
EDIT: I did just notice though that I'm still getting e-mail notifications when people reply to this thread. I turned it off in my profile. Whatever... :P

sonic,
that's because you turned off notification as your default, when you posted to this thread, it set it for this particular instance, so you're getting the emails. You can edit each of your posts and uncheck "notify me" then you should be all set.
Your preference will be saved for all future threads that you post to.
thanks,

If at first you don't succeed, then skydiving's not for you.
It's kind of like a person who lets all his anger build inside without finding some sort of release... he keeps getting provoked and stressed and eventually, he explodes in rage.
Same thing with the SMTP server, it's been holding onto all those e-mails and now it's releasing it's full fury. Looks like our SMTP server has mood swings.
