I can't do changes in my Quake 3 World profile

Everytime I try to change my profile it tells me

Sorry, but that e-mail address is already registered to a user.
The current password you supplied does not match that stored in the database.

Whether supply my password or not it gives me that error and it doesn't update the changes I want to do.

What can I do?

Someone mentioned that changing the e-mail adress in the conflicting profile could solve that.
