Doombrain the DJ

Post by DRuM »

What 's your opinion on this.

I've come up with a song that my friend is producing. That's me playing the keyboards, and he's added bass drums and vocals. Vocals come in about 2:27. This is a very rough draft of it done last night. It's from my piano piece I posted in GD but I always wanted to make a house tune of it. As it turns out, it's become a little more like deep house. Anyway, we're gonna work on it and the final production should be quite different. Do you play stuff like this in clubs? Think it would work, assuming better production of course?

Btw, this is his own song currently out, gives you an idea of his final production quality:

I’ll have to check it out later mate. My taste in music not what you might expect as well, so if it’s classic 4 on 4 I probably won’t like it.

Get rid of that pissy piano sound ffs and get a real grand piano sound in there. Don’t want any of the east side fucking yank house shite.

Well that's just a rough mix without proper midi keyboards. It's gonna end up rhodes, although I wouldn't mind hearing grand piano either. What's your overall opinion of the tune though?

SOUNDS LIKE YOU'RE TRYING TO CREATE SOME MUSIC. IF THAT'S WHAT YOU'RE DOING THEN I'D SAY YOU HAVE AUTHENTICALLY CREATED A MUSIC-LIKE SOUND.

This, coming from you.  I've smashed your interfeelings so many times you're reaching further with every weak comeback.

Oh hey, I think honushi might have made another weak attempt to flame me in another thread. You'd better go laugh at his effort quick before the bandwagon leaves without you!

DB's tastes in music probably falls in line with the sounds of the "Swinette" (a string stretched across a pigs ass) or the "Bon-a-phone".

Lol fruity loops  That's a fucking childs toy compared to cubase.
And I want to hear your reproduction so post it. I bet it sounds shit. Plus you didn't create it you just copied what was there, plus you don't even have a vocalist. I mean, what the fuck are you talking about? I don't care that you don't like the song, but at the same time it's obvious you know fuck all about music. So what music do you listen to that's so above average? Lemme guess, gangsta rap and metallica..

It's only a sketchy rough drum part at the moment. If it gets rpoduced further it'll sound a lot beefier. I hope.
