You people are fucked in the head.

The screenshots looked every bit as good as HL2....radiosity included. I have no clue wtf you people are bitching about in that regard.

Admittedly the video had a shit soundtrack so there was no punch to it....but if the gameplay involves room takedowns that'll be cool. DF Black Hawk Down attempted this. Sure the animation wasn't that great and some of the models weren't "the bomb" but the game isn't even released yet.....I assume they're still working on it to improve it.

Lemme see....it'll attempt to emulate the best parts of CounterStrike...the most popular FPS in a long time. Yeah...I guess this game will suck.

Yay, a realistic counter-terrorism game, how original. We really need more of those.

W3rd.

They should make a surrealistic one, that would rock.

There arent that many games like this one, you got SWAT 3 and SWAT 4, Rainbow six series and Ghost recon series(although GR is more Soldier sim).. so all in all its about 6 games like The Regiment.

Or are you talking about FPS games in general?
´Cos im talking about slow tactical police/Soldier sim games.

no..

Rainbow six
+ expansion Covert ops,Eagle watch

Rainbow six: Rogue spear
+ expansion Black thorn, Urban operations

Rainbow six: Raven shield
+ Expansion Athena sword

Rainbow six: Lock down (4th one not yet released)

So there is only 4 Rainbow six games and ofcourse you have 5 expansion packs(but its not a full game) and that makes it 9 games in total.
Im just counting full games and the once that are similiar to Rainbows gamestyle which is TACTICAL SIMULATION.

But if you count ALL Tom clancy games(with expansions), then yes, there are about 17 of them MKJ.

:D i was obviously exaggerating when i said 17. but those slowpaced games (mostly Clancy's indeed) come and go every 2 months. those RB6 expansions get all the marketing like they are completly new games, too.

the only thing we need now is another WW2 game.. nearly not enough of those around :icon14:

there should be more games in the same style (team-based tactical shooters) but with monsters and aliens and that sort of thing, instead of all this bloody real-life shite.

that said, will probably get the regiment - partly because i like tactical shooters and partly because if i wasn't permanently stoned, underweight and bone-fucking-idle i would obviously be a top ninja in the SAS, and partly because they look funny in their little gas masks.

it also had john mac as an advisor, and he's safe.
