Some wierd shit goes down. That little dyke that keeps appearing needs to fuck off. Little girls are not scary. I'd rip that shit apart with my goddamn cock.

Oh and here's an idea Nvidia, how about you make a card that will last more than 18 months you money grabbing cunts.
Too fucking right. Not all of us have the money to constantly keep up with the 6 month product lift cycles. I guess it was ok back in the day of Pentium2 and below but I do agree with you saying PC gaming in general has sucked a bit.

So much im contemplating moving to console gaming. The last console i bought was a mega drive.. But I wonder how long it will take for PC's to surpass the processing and graphical power of the PS3..

The game is all right, but I'm with doomer on this one, that faggot little girl isn't scary at all. I mean shit it's just some little bitch that prolly got raped by her father or something hence all the 'I'm angry!' hate. They better figure out some better scares for the final game or it's gonna be pretty wank.

i get a message of d3dx_25.dll was not found after installing the included dx9c which i already had installed.

and the option they have that u must install dx9c is retarted
I had the same problem. Go to http://www.dll-files.com/dllindex/dll-f ... l?d3dx9_25 and get the .dll and add it to the folder you installed the demo in.

Really nice demo but way too short imo. Creepy atmosphere, much better than Doom3.

In the finest traditions of FarCry...

I'm wondering when the little girl is going to meow and the guy voices over, "The Grudge..."

I also saw something funny. Dont know if its the AI, or just a glitch with the game. But thought it was funny.

Fearglitch

But nevertheless, Ive seen them do some cool things trying to get me. :icon25: I think the AI, and the game are awesome.

Heh, I love the slowmow action. Say bye bye leg. :icon25:

The game and technology are fucking amazing.

It uses relief mapping. Go shoot a wall. See how it looks like you really shot a hole out of the wall? It's just a flat texture with specular, diffuse, and normal maps and the normal map is being relief mapped.

If you move left or right, the appropriate shadows occur making it appear like it's REALLY 3D, and not just a normal map trick.

I love it.

That putfile site is shit.
Half the clips don't show video the first few tries. Some of them that do lose the video in a couple seconds. Once in awhile they work...

I tried playing it again, but I can't continue after the girl shows for the first time. I just can't. I know, I'm a pussy. I just tense up really bad.

You may have missed it. The first time he tries to jump through the window he stops part way through and bounces back, then the second time the window breaks and he goes through.

I know jumping through the windows isnt a bug :p.

I thought it was a little disappointing.
The controls feel extremely jerky

Framerate is fine for me, but it "caches" every so often (ie: slight pause every so often whilst it does something; always in the same place); I don't think it's a memory problem (I have 1GB), and the rest of my rig is stilll pretty good (XP3000, 256MB 6800GT).
Anyone else get this?

Yep. Thats the only problem I have with it too. It kinda spoils the fun, because when your hdd starts caching, you can kinda guarentee some nasty will be around the corner, totally destroying the flow and tension.

The game itself is ok. Nice graphics, but the controls feel a little loose at the momment. I hope the slow-mo feature is gonna be limited in the full game too, as pussies like me will go into slow motion every time they turn around the corner.

I quite liked the controls, but they're very reminiscent of other "body-aware" games such as Thief Deadly Shadows, Iron Storm and Vietcong.
It's one of those things you either love or hate.

Same problem here. Maybe its time for 2 gig. :paranoid:

64 3400+
1 gig corsair
6800gt 256
7200rpm sata

Frame rates are good with everything on high except no AA, and no soft shadows @ 1280Xcant remember. But still get that studder in certain spots. :\

Sorry somah but your system is hardly capable of running FEAR at everything on max, and that's gonna be the same for other future games. :p

Others are reporting the same problem over on the official forum here, but with better computer configurations.
