Finally gave in and bought an iPod Shuffle

Post by -Replicant- »

Well, I was sick of running on treadmills at my gym without music (yay for marathon training while still trying to maintain muscle mass), so I bought the 1Gb Ipod shuffle. Already filled it up with a few hundred songs, anything else I should know?

I bought an armband for it, although I don't know how well that will work out. Any special software people recommend over the standard itunes?

I use the armband with my ipod mini. It works well for running, but I don't think it would be very nice to pump ze iron with.. it would be like having your blood pressure measured.

jah, i think I'll only use it for running- today I did 7 miles and they were really awful without something to keep me going (the treatmills stare at a blank white wall....i nearly zonked out many times just staring at that for an hour)

I got the shuffle because I wanted the security of knowing it doesn't have a HDD that can break...and i wanted a rechargable battery (thus why I didn't get an iRiver)

make sure you buy a large pizza instead of purchasing a piece of software that you will get more use out of.

from where did you buy? i like
I bought it from the apple store since it had two promos at the time, free engraving and a discount on a case.

Dave if you can find a better case that I don't have to hold, can hide the excess wire from my Fontopia EX71s, and can be moved around for whatever exercise I do, please let me know.

doesn't that nylon start to irritate after a sweaty while? Hmmm...might be good for running.

Should have gone with the SE k750i, a bluetooth headset and a 1gb MS. Cellphone + FM radio + 1gb of MP3s - wires

Yeah, but bluetooth headsets make you look like a cunt. Plus the sound quality's not really as good.

got the k750i 2 days ago. very nice. Still need to upgrade the memory, i think ill go for 512. And i've no problem wearing normal headset for listening mp3.

Only thing i dislike is how slow mp3s and videoclips are transferred to the phone when using bluetooth.

I have a 20GB iPod but I aslo want an iShuffle because it's $99 and cheap to replace if I drop it in the ocean while fishing. Basically to me, an iShuffle is a disposable iPod with no moving parts which is a plus for me.

I noticed that USB transfer speed to phones suck too.
