Hello from Krakow

Post by mik0rs »

Err, hiya.

So I'm doing this "going round Europe for 2 and a bit weeks" thing and this is where I am at the moment. I'll post pics when I get home and I've got a half-decent connection to upload.

In the meantime I'll impart this bit of advice, in Poland (of the places I've been), if you're thinking of getting train tickets to anywhere inside or outside of the country make sure you get the train times from someone in a different country, because the bithces behind the ticket desks DO NOT want to help. I've came across nearly 10 now and not one of them smiles and most of the time they don't offer any useful information. It's not a language barrier thing, I can respect that, it's just that they're miserable cunts who don't seem capable of helping, much less capable of smiling.

Right, I'm off to bed.

Night night.

Why the FUCK are you in Poland? Do you need any help?

Edit:

See this is something (among other things) I don't get about Hitler. What did he want Poland for? It's terrible there. He must've never been there before.

Yeah right, abundant criminality, rotting buildings and the russian winter are actually pretty fun.

It was mainly for visiting Auschvitz and the Schindler factory rather than the scenery, I think if someone wasn't going for something like that then I'd question their sanity too, it's hardly pretty there. The main square was nice though.

Apparently it's the only major Polish city to survive WW2 unscathed, I thinik if it had been raised to the ground it might have been a bit prettier, the depressing grey building coupled with even greyer weather didn't hep the mood.

All in all though, the one thing I would change above all others would be to switch the waitressing staff at the restaurants with the women in the ticket booths at the train station. I had a very real concern I wasn't going to be able to leave :-/

That stuff would have been like fucking gold dust there! That's hopefully the last time I have to wipe my arse with paper that looks and feels like it's been shaved off the side of a big cardboard box.

You'd be better off coming to Prague, really nice place and the lager's as cheap as I'd hoped :D just got back from there last night.

Btw I'll be in the 'port early tomorrow afternoon briefly before I go home if you want some sex or a lunchtime pint.
