Mightymouse

Post by Canis »

So, who's getting one? http://www.apple.com/mightymouse

I'm personally fine with my MX510 for now, but it may be an option in the future. :)

hmmm...nice, now they need to make a cordless version too.

I already have a Logitech V500 Cordless mouse for the powerbook. Does sidescrolling too (basically, it's a touchpad between the buttons). Really portable, but not so ergonomically after prolonged use.

yeah i'm lookin for mice right now... bluetooth ones seem overpriced and crappy so i think i'm looking for a small wireless one, preferrably one that i can stick the usb reciever into the mouse. I like the v500 and i'm looking at the benq 310, as for the new apple one, it's disappointing that they don't even offer it as a BTO option when you're buying a computer and that they didn't release a bluetooth version.

it's nice that you can stick the USB RF receiver in the V500 mouse.

I'm sure they'll offer it pretty soon. It was just announced today, so I bet they'll phase it into the Mac product line.

saturn, how comfortable is that v500? i've read some reviews that say that it isn't very comfortable because it isn't raised up in the back like the front.

I've got the Apple Bluetooth wireless mouse right now. I'll get one of these Mighty Mice as soon as they have a wireless (bluetooth) version.

the ball looks too small to be usefull for moviing around in photoshop, hot keys are better IMO. interesting concept though, and there is likely to be a raft of immitations. Not convinced the design is good for gaming, depends a bit on the sensitivity of teh panels to touch i spose

not really comfortable, your hand can get cramped after a while since it's really small. Comfortable use and ergonomics sacrificed for Portability.

Oh, i'll keep it, but it sucks. There's no forward/back browser capability, that's the deal breaker. Clicking the side "Button" (they're really just one button) is a pain the ass. Sometimes the right click gets interpreted as left click. I could go on
