Hardware's not all that's going to cost more as the next generation of video games begins. Most major publishers have quietly acknowledged that major games will cost $59.99, a $10 jump over current prices.
Console games cost less to create do to R&D is already done and the system is set, PC games have much more R&D due to hardware and software differences and issues, so I would suggest to you it would the exact opposite.
Larger teams and the same total dev time means more management is required to keep things going and organised.
It adds up. In the end, if the publishers are risking more cash on developing titles, they need to be assured they'll get their money back and a decent profit, since that's all they really care about...
(i.e. its just a fucking excuse for the publishers to make more cash)

Do sordid games with your mother count?

wheezy has to pretend on the internet that he knows about making games because the reality is in 4 years he hasnt put out one single game not fucking one
I paid $73 for the flawless SNES release of Mortal Kombat 3 back in the day. It was a wise choice because I won many bets.
Most were indirect. I'd destroy people at it, and then they'd challenge me to Street Fighter II because it's a 'real game' (rofl) and I'd beat them in that, too. $$$

But they can be patched now.
about 2 games were ever patched
also, that really isnt a good thing. that means less testing and more EA style bugs.

And what does that have to do with the increased price of Next Gen console titles?
He is stating his epenis is huge because he pay over the odds for a poor game back in the day!

Poor game? You obviously weren't even around.
When Mortal Kombat 3 launched on SNES it was flawless. Most new marquee titles were $65 and over. I bought it at Wal-Mart. Remember Wal-Mart? The place where just a decade ago American products were sold by American people?
I was around
Around long enough to realise it was a poor game.
Congratulations on buying it at Wal-Mart. That must have really got your juices floowing back in the day eh?
Fact of the matter is, you were overcharged. Get over it.

They've been costing that much for at least 10 years. First game I bought for that price was Hexen for $54 in 95. I'm really surprised they haven't gone up more than they have.
